(Canso, NS) – NDP MLA Jim Boudreau is pleased 10 fire departments located in Guysborough – Sheet Harbour will receive a total of $77,200 from the Emergency Services Provider Fund.

The organizations are:
- Canso Volunteer Fire Department ($10,000)
- District #6 of the Municipality of St Mary’s Volunteer Fire Department ($5,000)
- Erinville and District Volunteer Fire Department ($6,000)
- Guysborough Fire Department ($5,000)
- Hazel Hill and District Fire Department ($5,000)
- Liscomb Valley Fire Department ($10,000)
- Seashore Volunteer Fire Department ($1,200)
- Seven Communities Recreation & Volunteer Fire Department ($5,000)
- Sherbrooke and Area Volunteer Fire Department ($15,000)
- The Three Top Volunteer Fire Department ($15,000) ­

“Everyday our brave firefighters donate their time to keep us safe,” said Boudreau. “I’m very pleased that thanks to this funding they will be able to upgrade their facilities and purchase more modern equipment.”
