Sid Prest was elected to the Legislative Assembly in 2009. Before becoming an MLA, Sid worked in the family operated lumber and forestry business and has been employed by the HRM in various departments including Planning and Development, Community Services and Environmental Management Services.
Sid is the past chair of the Board of Trustees of Duncan MacMillan High School. He is an active member of the Mooseland and Area Community Association and the Mooseland and Area Citizens on Patrol. He has also served as Vice-President of the Provincial Municipal Law Enforcement Officers Association.
Sid is a long-time advocate for sustainable forestry and environmental practices. |
