Vicki Conrad was first elected to the Legislative Assembly in the provincial election of 2006. In June of 2009, she was named Caucus Chairwoman.
Vicki has lived in Queens County for the past 19 years.
Prior to her election in June 2006, she worked with the Scotian Windfield network and as a Rural Outreach Assistant for the NDP Caucus. Vicki has also worked as Residential Councillor and as a Home Support Worker with the Region of Queens Home Support. Vicki and her husband Scott also owned and operated Millennium Gardens up until 2004.
Vicki is an active community member and volunteer, and has been President of the Sou' Wester Windfield Board, a Community Economic Development Investment Funds (CEDIF) operation. She is a community consultant with the Medway River Historical Society, a member of the Mill Village Ladies Auxiliary and has supported local organizations and schools, including Mill Village Consolidated School, the Medway Areas Community Association., Privateer Days, and most recently became a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #38.
Vicki is a past president of the Home Support Workers Union Local 3885. and, since 2002 she has been a committee member with the Region of Queens Planning Advisory Committee, and community Area Advisory Committee.
She strongly supports the development and maintenance of our infrastructure and services in the area to attract new businesses and support existing businesses. Vicki is an advocate for senior's issues, the environment, our coastal and rural communities.
As the MLA for Queens, Vicki provides a strong, pro-active voice for the people of Queens and welcomes the opportunity to work with local families and represent their interests and concerns.
